Les projets et l\u2019\u00e9quipement pr\u00e9vus par le SIP r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 divers besoins touchant les deux \u00e9cluses am\u00e9ricaines de la Voie maritime, le Pont international de la Voie maritime, le dragage d\u2019entretien, les syst\u00e8mes op\u00e9rationnels ainsi que les installations et l\u2019\u00e9quipement de la GLS \u00e0 Massena (New York). Aucun des investissements du SIP ne m\u00e8ne \u00e0 une augmentation du tirant d\u2019eau autoris\u00e9 ou de la largeur du chenal de navigation, ni des dimensions des deux \u00e9cluses.<\/p>\n<p>Dans les 15 premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de financement du renouvellement de l\u2019infrastructure (exercices 2009 \u00e0 2023), la GLS a consacr\u00e9 225 millions de dollars \u00e0 65 projets.
